Blunt Box is a private members' lounge on Heugh Rd. An emporium of flavour, not a dispensary. Come and be shown around, ask the obvious questions, and take as long as you like.
Emporium of Flavour
The shelf is small on purpose. We would rather hold twelve things worth talking about than sixty that blur together, and everything on it gets described the way a wine merchant would describe a bottle: by what it tastes like, and what it is good for.
Ask for something bright and citrusy for a Sunday afternoon. Ask for the heavy, sweet one that flattens you by nine. Either question gets a real answer.

What a members' lounge actually is
In South Africa, an adult may use cannabis in private. Selling it across a counter is a different thing entirely. So it works on membership: you join Blunt Box, and the lounge holds what its members share.
That is the whole reason there is a form here instead of a checkout. It is closer to joining a gym than shopping at a bottle store, and once you have joined, none of it feels complicated again.
Nobody here expects you to know the vocabulary. Most of our members did not when they walked in, and the ones who did still ask what is good this week.

Fill in the form at the bottom of this page, or walk in and do it at the counter. We need your name, your age, and a way to reach you. It takes about a minute.
Come and see the lounge
We take you through the room, the rules, and what the lounge holds. Ten minutes, in person, and there is no test at the end. Ask the obvious questions here. Everybody does.
You're a member
Sit as long as you like. Ask for a recommendation or take your time on the shelf. There is no minimum, no pressure to hurry, and no one keeping score.
The room
There is a lounge behind the shop with two chesterfields, a pot of tea usually going, and magazines nobody has finished. Collect from the counter and the room is yours, for an hour or the whole afternoon.
It is a quiet room. Some people come to talk and some come to be left alone, and both work. Phones stay in pockets: nobody photographs anybody here, which is part of why people relax.
