Terms

Two things in one document: the terms for using this website, and the terms of membership itself. Using the site means you accept the first. Joining the lounge means you accept both.

01

Who you are dealing with

This website is operated by TBC (registration number TBC), trading as Blunt Box, of 58b Heugh Rd, Walmer, Gqeberha, Eastern Cape, South Africa. Contact: info@bluntbox.co.za.

02

This site is not a shop

Nothing on this website is an offer to sell anything to the public. There is no catalogue, no pricing, no ordering, and no delivery. The site exists to describe a private members' lounge and to accept applications to join it.

Anything the lounge holds is held for its members. Descriptions of what is on the shelf are informational, change constantly, and are not a promise that any particular thing is available.

03

Age restriction

This website and the lounge are for adults of 18 and over. By using the site or applying, you confirm you meet that age. We verify it against your ID document, and a false declaration voids any membership that follows.

04

Applying, and being refused

An application is a request, not a membership. We may accept or refuse any application at our discretion and without giving reasons, provided we do so lawfully and without unfair discrimination.

Membership begins only once we have verified your ID in person and confirmed you in writing or at the counter.

05

The membership rules apply

Every member agrees to the membership rules, which form part of these terms. They cover conduct in the facility, privacy of other members, and what is and is not permitted on the premises.

Breaking them can result in membership being suspended or withdrawn, as those rules set out.

06

Your responsibilities as a member

You will comply with South African law at all times, on and off the premises. You will not conduct any business within the facility that contravenes the law, resell or supply anything obtained through the lounge, or bring untested material onto the premises.

You are responsible for your own state and your own conduct, including how you get home.

07

What we are not liable for

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or your membership.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 where it applies.

08

This website itself

The text, photography, logo and design of this site belong to us. You may read, link to, and share it. You may not copy it wholesale, reuse the photography, or present the content as your own.

We try to keep the site accurate and available, but we do not guarantee either. Hours, availability and details change.

09

Your personal information

Handled as described in our privacy notice, which explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and what you can require of us under POPIA.

10

Changes and governing law

We may amend these terms. The current version always appears here with its date, and continued use of the site or the lounge means you accept the amended version.

These terms are governed by South African law, and the courts of the Republic have jurisdiction.
